Granite City Days 2008

I invite you to join me in June as we celebrate St. Cloud’s 2nd Annual ...GRANITE CITY DAYS. The festival will run from Thursday thru Sunday, June 26-29. It will kick off with SCSU Lemonade Art Fair from 11 a.m. - 9 p.m. on the grounds of St. Cloud State University. This includes the presentation of the Mayor’s Rock-On Awards at 7 p.m. On Friday, June 27, the renowned Liberty Block party will take place from 5 – 9 p.m. at Whitney Park featuring the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band. Saturday will play host to a 5K and 12K run, the BLEND World Record Bike Parade at Whitney Park, which will be followed by the big parade at 6:30 p.m. On Sunday, June 29, beginning at 8 a.m. there will be two events taking place – the Civic Patrol Airport Fly-In Pancake Breakfast at the St. Cloud Regional Airport and a Criterium Bike Race located near Lake George. From noon – 4 p.m. Lake George will come alive with activities, food, and entertainment. It will provide outdoor entertainment for the whole family to enjoy.
